This Delivery Policy sets out the terms and conditions that apply to the delivery, collection, setup, and takedown of all equipment hired or purchased from Grand Occasion Rental Limited ("Grand Occasion Rental", "we", "us", "our"), based in Co. Kildare, Ireland. By placing a booking with us you agree to the terms set out in this policy.
We deliver across Leinster and beyond. Delivery charges are calculated by zone based on distance from our depot in Co. Kildare. The zones and indicative charges are:

Where a minimum order value applies for delivery to your zone, this will be displayed at checkout. As a general guide, a minimum hire value of €100 applies for delivery in Zone 1, and €150 for Zones 2 and 3.
Equipment is typically delivered the day before your event and collected the day after. For events running over multiple days, extended hire periods can be arranged — please ask at the time of booking. We agree a delivery window with you at booking and will call ahead on the day to confirm our estimated arrival time.
Same-day delivery may be available subject to stock availability and your location. A surcharge of up to 50% of the standard delivery charge applies. Please call us on 085 156 3498 to check availability — we cannot guarantee same-day delivery.
We deliver seven days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, as most events take place on these days. Weekend deliveries are in high demand, particularly from June to August — we strongly recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date and time slot.
Our standard hire period is 24–48 hours (typically overnight). The hire period begins from the time of delivery and ends at the agreed collection time. Extended hire periods are available — contact us for pricing. Late returns without prior agreement may incur an additional charge equivalent to one additional day's hire fee.

The following are not included in the standard delivery charge unless agreed separately in writing: setup of non-marquee items, re-delivery due to inaccessibility or failed access, storage of equipment between multiple events, and additional labour beyond the standard setup.
All marquee packages include full professional setup and takedown by our team. Estimated setup times by marquee size are:
Where packages include extras such as flooring, draping, or furniture, additional time is required. We will confirm the full schedule with you in advance of your event.
Delivery of non-marquee items includes offloading at your venue. Full setup assistance is available for an additional charge — please request this at the time of booking. Soft play and bouncy castle items require a flat, level surface free from sharp objects. Our team will advise on placement on arrival.
Self-collection of smaller hire items from our depot in Co. Kildare is available by arrangement. Please contact us to agree a collection and return time. Marquees and large structural items must be delivered and erected by our team — self-collection is not available for these items.
To ensure a smooth and safe delivery, please ensure the following conditions are met before our team arrives:
If our team is unable to access the venue safely on arrival due to reasons within your control (incorrect address, locked gates, inaccessible ground), a re-delivery charge equal to the original delivery charge will apply and we cannot guarantee rescheduling on the same day.
Where delivery requires our team to carry equipment up staircases, through restricted or elevated access points, or across unusually long distances from our vehicle to the setup location, an access surcharge of €30–€50 applies, depending on the complexity and number of floors involved.
Access surcharges are non-negotiable once our team has arrived at the venue. We will always endeavour to inform you of any applicable surcharge before your event date where access details have been shared with us in advance.
If a delivery cannot be completed at the agreed time due to reasons within your control — including but not limited to no responsible adult present, inaccessible address, or incorrect delivery information — we reserve the right to charge a re-delivery fee. We will make every reasonable effort to contact you before marking a delivery as failed.
We are not liable for any losses, costs, or inconvenience arising from a failed delivery where the failure was caused by factors within your control.
All equipment remains the property of Grand Occasion Rental Limited at all times. Risk in the equipment passes to the hirer from the moment of delivery and returns to us upon collection. During the hire period, you are solely responsible for the safekeeping of all equipment. You must ensure that equipment is not used in any manner inconsistent with its intended purpose and that it is protected from theft, damage, and adverse weather where reasonably possible.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a delivery, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation and rescheduling terms are governed by our Cancellation Policy, available at grandoccasionrental.ie/cancellation-policy. Delivery charges paid may not be refundable if cancellation is made within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery time.
